Another Thomas Tuesday

Thomas continues to grow and learn so quickly. One of his newest endeavors includes playing "Ring around the rosy" (which Thomas calls the "ashes" or simply "rosy"). He loves to grab someone's fingers and spin around while someone else sings the song for him. If no one is available to spin with him, he will just spin on his own and fall at any moment throughout the song (usually about the first time he hears the word "ashes"). He thinks it's hilarious.

Thomas also loves to do puzzles and color right now. He will ask for "Color paper, please." He does very well at holding the pen with proper tripod form, and will switch back and forth between his right and left hands. He loves when we color with him, so we will draw little pictures on the paper and then he will immediately focus his attention on that object and try to color it in. He's an artist in training.

Thomas also enjoys the song "Doggy in the window" and will ask us to sing it again and again until we distract him with something else. On a recent trip to the library, daddy thought he would see how Thomas felt about truck and train movies, because he loves both of them so much. He got a Mighty Machines video about firetrucks, garbage trucks, and city trucks. Thomas now insists on going to the rec room to "watch" firetrucks every chance he gets. He will grab our fingers, say "Mighty 'sheens" or "firetrucks on, please," then lead us to the stairs.  Although the movie is on, he usually only watches it momentarily, then proceeds to play with his toy trucks or the box tunnels and box house daddy built for him.
