The cousins are in town

Thomas's cousins are in town from Georgia and they are having lots of fun together.  Of course, Aunt Michelle and Grandmama are in town, too, adding to the excitement.

I'm sure we'll add more pictures later, after the craziness dies down.

Thomas and Uncle Steven

Thomas loves when Uncle Steven comes home, although he always looks a bit confused at first. Uncle Steven loves to laugh and be goofy, which makes Thomas giggle right along with him. Here, Uncle Steven capitalized on Thomas's love of dropping things on the floor and his love of the blue sparkly ball to invent a new game.

Tuesday

Thomas is becoming more confident in his walking everyday. He's even learning how to stand up on his own to get to walking. Here he is using an empty milk carton for assistance.

 Mommy managed to stop Thomas long enough to steal a kiss.

 After all his playing, Thomas wanted to relax with daddy on the couch. This only lasted a moment, then he was ready to play again.

Helicopter pilot?

We spent Sunday at Grandma's and Papa's house.  Thomas has been enamored with Papa's remote control helicopter the last few times he's been over to visit.  The last time, though, Thomas wanted to not only fly the helicopter but catch it as well.  He'd use the controls to fly it, but when it flew close to him, he'd take his hand off the controls and reach for the helicopter as it plummeted to the ground.

Playing with Daddy.

Thomas loves to play with Daddy.  This usually wears Daddy out very quickly, especially when Thomas waits to take his nap.  Today when Daddy was trying to relax, Thomas was trying to relax with him... and play.

Thomas found Daddy even as he was trying to blend in with the couch.

Tuesday?

Well, things are busy around here.  Sometimes Tuesdays happen on Friday.  It has been particularly difficult to find time to post with the unusually warm weather we've been experiencing.

On the right, Thomas relaxing poolside.  He wasn't too sure of it all, but we think he'll learn to enjoy the pool more in the summer months.

The time has come.

Thomas is walking.  While he has taken a few steps earlier, this week he has begun to walk in earnest.  The video does not do him justice.  When he wants to be, he is pretty solid on his feet.

Tuesday really late

Thomas is doing well.  We usually play with his blocks or his ball pit.  Lately, when playing with his ball pit, Thomas will crawl inside and start throwing all of the balls out of it.

11 months old

Thomas is almost a year old.  He's eating solid foods, then when he's done he throws the food on the ground for the dog.  He likes to move, discover new things, and generally create a mess.

Partying!

Last Sunday we went down to visit Thomas's Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa to celebrate Great-Grandpa's birthday.  It was nice to see that side of the family again, and Thomas had plenty of people to watch him.
