The Tuesday post

Thomas keeps growing.  This past Saturday Thomas and Angela went to their first ever Valley City street fair.  The street fair benefits the local fire department, so Thomas's fire truck sleeper, given to him by Grandma Filous, was very appropriate.

The Street Fair wore out Thomas.

Not much else is new.  Here are a few more pictures of Thomas.

Thomas and Lucky

Here is a video of Thomas laughing at Lucky.  While Thomas has been laughing for some time now, we never get bored of it.  Last night he seemed to first notice the dog and, for a time, found everything it did very funny.

20 weeks and growing strong

Thomas is doing well.  He's getting stronger every day.  We are just waiting for him to start moving around the house, something we've been anticipating for weeks now.  He's started staying up on his arms more, but he still doesn't have the coordination down.  Someday he'll figure it out and we'll need to babyproof the house.

Tuesday's post, a day late

Thomas is very interested in the world around him.  He's found his hands and his favorite toy is a blue monkey, given to him by Grandmama.  Whatever he finds, he tries to put into his mouth.

The rest of Georgia

Our time in Georgia flew by.  Saturday we relaxed around in the air-conditioned house.  Sunday we relaxed, went for a walk by the Savannah River, and went to 6 pm mass.  We must have made quite a sight at mass, with four kids being passed around between Michelle, Philip, Rosemary, and us.  (John was playing music for mass.)  We left Georgia Monday morning and got home a little after 10 pm.  Throughout the whole trip, Thomas was a trooper, sleeping most of the time in the car, and, all things considered, he didn't cry much.  Now we look forward to some relaxing time at home.

Tuesday post

Today Thomas tried his first "solid" food of rice cereal.  (It counts as solid, even if it is 5:1 milk:cereal.)
Here is a video of the event.

Georgia!- Friday

Friday was action-packed, as we went swimming before going to Maggie's baptism, where Angela and Joe were Godmother and Godfather.

Thomas, asleep in the water.
The baptism was very nice, with Fr. Ortega, a friend of John and Michelle, baptizing Margaret.

Charlie and Annie were on their best behavior.

And there was much rejoicing.

Georgia!- Thusday

We left Wednesday night, picked up Philip in Columbus, and drove through the night to reach Georgia by Thursday morning.  The past couple days we've been playing with the kids and playing with our new camera.

Another Tuesday, another post.

Today Thomas not only reached 17 weeks but also got to visit the doctor!  Thomas is 14 pounds, 8 ounces (50th percentile) and 26 inches long (90th percentile).  Thomas got a second round of shots, making him a very unhappy boy.  The doctor said that Thomas is going great and progressing nicely!

Thomas screaming and putting things in his mouth:

The weekend

This weekend was again very busy.  After watching Joe's cousin Cassie ride her horse at the fair on Friday, Thomas, Angela, and Joe all went to Columbus on Saturday.  Joe's cousin Katie got married earlier this summer in Florida and hosted a reception in Ohio last weekend.  Everything was very nice, even if it was a very hot day.

Some people danced, despite the heat.
